and, when the work is done, the last, too.

Sharon Greenslade is vice president; she and her son Daniel Greenslade, who is president and service manager, own the business.

Mrs. Greenslade's daughters manage the front desk and reception area. Robin Gaglio and Amy Greenslade greet customers, book their vehicles in, process special instructions and settle up with the customers when the work is done.

In the back office, which is 95 percent of the building, work teams of mechanics, painters and body technicians have their own spaces. They are a mix of mostly Bermudians and Azoreans with some guest workers from unusual places.

The mechanics are Steven Baldock, Felipe Mascarenhas and Stephen Pellett. Mr.

Mascarenhas is from the island of Goa; his colleagues are Kiwis, from New Zealand. Working with them is a Bermudian apprentice, Ronald Adams.

"We would have liked to have all Bermudian staff, but the truth is that there is a shortage of high-quality Bermudian mechanics. Everyone good is working,'' said Mr. Greenslade. "We are putting locals into apprentice positions in each department,'' he said. "It goes with being in the Bermudian community.'' Michael Smith and Milton Vieira are the painters, working with apprentice Richard King. Emanuel Pacheco and Carlos Santos are the body technicians, and Leslie Wolffe is the driver.
