The motor yacht Eco , owned by a Mexican media mogul, is a high-speed jet-propelled yacht and at 240 feet it is ranked as the 13th largest in the world.

Among her most prominent features are the stark lines of a warship and enormous curved windows -- the largest ever made.

Meanwhile, the cruise ship Meridian made a welcome return to Bermuda this week after being out of action while in dry dock.

She arrived yesterday afternoon for a three-day stay after undergoing a re-fit. She will sail again tomorrow.

All the cruise ships arrived on schedule this week although most were down on numbers as the season starts to draw to a close.

On Monday the Dreamward arrived from New York berthing at St. George's before shifting to Hamilton on Tuesday. She had 1,221 passengers on board and is due to sail again today.

The Horizon also arrived from New York on Monday, with 1,377 passengers and is also due to sail again today.

Both the Royal Majesty and the Song of America also arrived on schedule with 837 and 1,372 passengers, respectively, and both will sail as normal tomorrow.

Elsewhere, container ships berthed in Bermuda as normal bringing Island supplies ranging from timber to steel.

The Somers Isles container ship arrived on Sunday bringing 72 containers, including six refrigerated containers, plus one dump truck and a trailer.

She also carried 45 bundles of lumber and plywood as well as 80 bundles of steel. She left again, on schedule, the same evening.

The Bermuda Islander , from New Jersey, arrived on Tuesday afternoon berthing at Hamilton and off-loading 91 containers, including eight refrigerated containers. Altogether 137 containers were landed when the Oleander arrived.

She also brought three cars and one trailer.

The only other ship to arrive in Bermuda was the Liberian-registered Rosina Tropic which stopped at the Island to land a sick mechanic. She was en route from Lithuania and is heading for Savannah.
