For the last 11 years, Mrs. Tucker has worked at Elbow Beach Hotel, serving the last six of them as director of sales.

While in this position, Mrs. Tucker initiated several promotional programmes, including the Watercolour Workshop, which is now an annual event.

During her time there, the hotel won the prestigious Gold Key Award from Meetings and Conventions magazine.

Mrs. Tucker is a founding member of the Chapter of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association, of which she is a past president.

Before joining the hotel industry, Mrs. Tucker worked for six years for the Republican Party in the United States, including a stint with former president Ronald Reagan while he was in the White House.

In taking on her new position with BGA, Mrs. Tucker will be spearheading a new relationship between the BGA group, its principals and its customers.

"I'm thrilled to be joining the young, dynamic group of individuals on the BGA group team and accept this challenge with tremendous enthusiasm,'' she said.
