North Rock general manager Tom Coelho labelled the suggestion, reported in The Royal Gazette yesterday, as a direct challenge to Government's authority.

"Cable & Wireless have repeatedly been informed that international telecommunications providers may not provide local Internet or phone services,'' Mr. Coelho stated in a Press release. "`It would appear that Cable & Wireless does not feel that Government has the legal ability to respond to Cable & Wireless' actions. North Rock is calling on the Government to respond in the strongest possible manner.''
