The Mount Royal estate, set on two acres across from Fourways Inn, did not attract a suitable bid from the group of prospective buyers.

The property, which has been offered privately for $2 million dollars, did not receive an offer for more than $1 million.

The property overlooks Hamilton Harbour and is made up of a main house and several cottages.

Recently planning approval was given to build seven additional condominiums at at the site.

The auction was handled by Mr. Benjamin Rego, Sr., of Rego Limited.
