896.91 yesterday. Highlighting the day's trading was a huge fall by Telco. The utility closed down $12, or 33.3 percent, to $24 on volume of 104 shares.
Telco's earlier $15 dividend in the form of 73 notes had driven the issue up as high as $38 but the issue now trades ex-dividend. In other trading yesterday, Bermuda Commercial Bank fell 75 cents to $3.75, a 52-week low.
Argus and Belco also traded down. Bermuda Bakery, the only gainer, closed up $1 at $15 while Bank of Bermuda, Bank of Butterfield and Island Press preferred were unchanged.
