Mr. John Ross, Betco assistant manager, said: "Any anxious brides who have outfits at the Elegant Store should contact me.

"I have the store keys in my possession. I will need proof of payment and any outstanding payment in order to hand over the outfits.'' He refused to disclose who had appointed Betco executor.

The Front Street store closed following the death of owner Mr. Manuel Leitao in early September.
