at a major tourism conference being held on the Island next month.

The Bermuda National Tourism Conference will be held at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute between April 13 and 15.

And Tourism Minister David Allen is encouraging as many "industry stakeholders'' to go along to give their input and listen to the keynote speakers.

The theme of the forum is "Reinventing Bermuda Tourism'' will focus on many of the challenges facing the industry, including forward planning, marketing, distribution and product development.

"Overall we see this unprecedented conference providing an ideal platform for Bermuda and the industry as we lift off the 2000 season,'' the Minister said at a press conference held yesterday. As well as Bermuda tourism officials, hoteliers, airline and overseas marketing partners, there will be delegates from advertising agencies and other industry parties. Organised by the National Tourism Action Group and the Visitor Industry Partnership, it will aim to have resolutions and summations at the end of the event.
