Tourism Minister David Dodwell told The Royal Gazette : "The review is almost in its final draft form. We are waiting on one final contribution.'' Once this report is in, the review will go before Cabinet who will decide what the next steps will be.

The airline review began last May with the formation of a committee under the chairmanship of Tourism marketing committee member Terry West.

The review is following along the lines of the cruise ship review which was also handled by a committee chaired by Mr. West.

Airlines and other local stake holders have been involved in discussions which have included the topics of gateway cities, charters, marketing and pricing.

Changes that the committee feel are needed will likely be implemented by next season.

While Bermuda does not hold the same influence over airlines that it does over cruise ships, the partners have enjoyed a healthy relationship through cooperative marketing and communication efforts.

Other committee members include Airport Operations manager Jack Gordon, Civil Aviation director Herman Tucker, assistant Tourism marketing director Pat Phillip-Bassett, Bermuda Hotel Association executive officer John Harvey, Airport technical officer Ernie Roberts and Tourism representative Aaron Adderley.
