Smith, Cox to sell Bermuda
as an offshore insurance marketplace of choice next week at the annual Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS) conference in Dallas.
Ms Smith and the Mr. Cox will be arriving at the conference on Tuesday evening. They will take part in the Bermuda breakfast round-table event at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel on Wednesday morning. The event targets senior finance, banking, accounting, legal and management executives in the area. They will also host the Bermuda reception at the Dallas Museum of Art at which about 600 to 700 people are expected to attend. The reception is one of the hottest tickets at RIMS, one of the premier annual conferences in the insurance industry.
About 150 delegates from Bermuda will be attending the event representing all facets of the industry on the Island. They will be joining about 9,000 delegates to the week-long conference.
Premier, Cox to promote Island The delegates will be representing brokers, banks, accountants, actuaries, insurers, investment professionals, and captive managers among others.
Bermuda's Department of Tourism, and the Bermuda International Business Association will also be sending representatives.
Chairman of the Bermuda RIMS committee Robin Spencer-Arscott said he expected delegates would be curious to find out more about the Island's new Government.
"It will be business as usual,'' he said.
