Bermuda coordinator Mr. Peter Rodger, who is the Bank of Butterfield's group legal adviser, said the seminar has attracted far more interest than was hoped for. He said lawyers are coming from Australia, Nigeria, Austria, Germany, Hong Kong, plus Europe and North America.

The three-day Globalisation of Mutual Funds seminar, which focuses on legal and business issues, is hosted annually by the International Bar Association.

This year it is being cosponsored by the US-based Investment Company Institute, which represents more than $3 trillion worth of mutuals.
