Butterfield traded off its high of $33 to close at $33.75 on volume of 300. It was the only stock to change price.

Trading unchanged were: BF&M, $6.50, 492 shares; Belco, $21, 200; and Bank of Bermuda 9% notes, $107.375, 3100 units.

The Exchange closed down 2.19 points to 1187.18.
