The Bermuda Stock Exchange index rose by 22.55 points yesterday after share prices in the Bank of Butterfield rose by $1 to close at $16.25.

There was little other change in a slow day of trading which saw 3,705 Bank of Bermuda and 502 Belco shares trade with no change.
The index closed at 1,423.33 on a volume of 4,347 shares worth $115,649.75.
