The banking sector advanced with two issues pushing upwards. The Bank of Bermuda rose $0.25 to close at $19.50 on a trade of 178. Bermuda Commercial Bank was also up $0.25 to $11.50 on a volume of 5,578.
The only decline was BF&M Ltd., which fell $0.57.5 on a volume of 120 to close at $6.12.5.
Unchanged were Bermuda Home 8% Pref. at $12 on a volume of 95, BF&M 9% at $9.75 on a trade of 444 and 50,000 Bermuda Gov't 6.5% Bda.$ '97 trading $50,000 face at 101%.
