The Bermuda Stock Exchange traded over $1 million shares yesterday in a bumper day of trading in a single stock which saw the index fall for the second day

Bank of Butterfield witnessed 62,941 shares traded, pushing stock down 50 cents to close at $17.50. The only other shares to change hands were those of Bank of Bermuda - where only 17 stocks were traded, closing unchanged at $28.50.
The index closed down 11.27 points to close at 1,460.16 on a volume of 62,958 shares worth $1.1 million.
