Tropical Depression Two, which is whipping up winds of 40 knots, is now 1,257 nautical miles southeast of Bermuda and heading in a northwesterly direction.

And, although forecasters do not believe the depression poses a threat at the moment, a sudden change in direction has not been ruled out.
