He is currently chairman and chief executive officer of Odyssey Re Group's London and Bermuda-based subsidiaries. Odyssey Re is the name given to the group of reinsurance companies bought by Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd. over the last two years. It includes New York-based Odyssey Reinsurance Corp., Odyssey Re London, Odyssey Re Bermuda and Paris and Singapore-based Compagnie Transcontinentale de Reassurance.

The group will also include a group of Skandia International companies, whose acquisition was announced in February. Odyssey Re Bermuda was formerly known as Sphere Drake Underwriting Management (Bermuda) Ltd. with offices in Bermuda and London.

PERCIVAL TAKE SON NEW CHALLENGE APP Percival takes on new challenge Bermuda-based Centre Solutions has appointed Nick Percival as assistant director to its London operation Centre Reinsurance Representatives Ltd.

Mr. Percival was previously head of alternative risk transfer and head of corporate capital at Lloyd's since he moved to London in 1995. In his new position he will be working as part of a team focusing on the UK and European market.

Centre Solutions provides customised insurance, reinsurance and risk management programmes from offices in Bermuda, Dublin, London, New York, San Francisco, Sydney and Zurich.
