Bank of Bermuda closed up 25 cents at $18.50 on volume of 1,826 while Bank of Butterfield gained 12.5 cents to close at $11.75 on volume of 7,980.

Bermuda Press Holdings closed up 12.5 cents at $8.125 on volume of 1,000.

The net asset value of Mezzanine rose two cents to $10.18.

BF&M preferred dropped 67.5 cents to close at $9 on volume of 250.

Bermuda Commercial Bank closed down 50 cents at $5 on volume of 800.

Bermuda Aviation Services closed down 12.5 cents at $2.375 on volume of 1,993.

Issues closing unchanged were; Bermuda Home, $8.25, 1,602 and Bermuda Home preferred, $12, 714.

Share volume was 16,508 with a share value of $176,236.06.

The index rose 14.02 points or 1.38 percent to close at 1,030.75.
