For the second week in a row, more KFC shares changed hands than any other local stock, although the price closed again at $3.50, the same level it closed a week ago.

The rising of the index was a good sign after many months of depressed activity, although it is too early to determine if it is a sign of near future liquidity in the market.

The index closed the week up 17.508 at 925.54, on share volume of 118,641, worth $929,952.13, with advances leading declines four to one. Only five issues traded for the week.

Bermuda Home 8% Pref. was the only issue that lost ground, falling by 25 cents.

Bank of Bermuda was up $0.375, the Bank of Butterfield 25 cents and Bermuda Commercial Bank 50 cents. BELCO was up 25 cents.
