The winding-up action has been brought by Ms Vanessa Johnson, a former treasurer of Caliban subsidiary Belvedere Insurance who left her position in November, 1992, and claims she was wrongfuly dismissed.

Lawyer Mr. Alan Dunch, representing Caliban, said the application was an abuse of process.
