BSX INDEX GAINS STK BSX index gains There were two advancers during yesterday's trading, sparking the Bermuda Stock Exchange index to close up 2.82 at 927.46. In total, 20,404 shares changed hands, worth $235,002.13.

Bank of Butterfield was up $0.125 to close at $9.50 on a volume of 6,746, while 380 shares of Bermuda Home 8% Pref. were traded, helping the price to $10.25, up 25 cents.

Closing unchanged was Bank of Bermuda Ltd. at $17.50 on volume of 2,391 and Bermuda Home at $7.375 on a volume of 263.

Argus Insurance was unchanged at $12, on a volume of 9,524, while Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. was unchanged at $8 after 1,100 shares were traded.
