Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. has announced that Brian Menges and Andrea Wass have joined Endurance Risk Solutions' Bermuda healthcare team.

Mr. Menges has been appointed vice-president and senior underwriter and Ms Wass as assistant vice-president and underwriter, reporting to Kimberly Morgan, Endurance Risk Services' healthcare practice leader.

Mr. Menges has more than 15 years of experience underwriting healthcare professional liability insurance for hospitals, health systems, physician groups and outpatient care facilities. He also brings a client perspective, having served as a risk management co-ordinator at a 160-bed hospital in Hawaii.

Prior to joining Endurance, Mr. Menges was the southeast region healthcare underwriting manager at Zurich North America. Before that, he held underwriting positions with Chartis, Farmers, MMI and Medical Protective and was a Captain and health administrator in the US Air Force.

Ms Wass has more than 12 years of insurance industry experience. Before joining Endurance, she spent nine years with Aon, most recently as a broker, placing hospital professional liability as well as physician captive/RRG excess of loss reinsurance in the Bermuda marketplace.

Prior to that, she worked in conjunction with various hospital systems to find appropriate medical professional liability solutions for their staff and employed physicians.
