Flights, ferries cancelled
Last night, the American Airlines flight from New York due in at 7.25 p.m. was cancelled. It was expected at 6.20 a.m. this morning.
But an Airport spokeswoman said a planned fast turnaround meant the return leg, due to depart at 7.25 a.m., was set to take off as normal.
Earlier, the American Airlines 7.30 a.m. departure to New York was delayed until 2.30 p.m.
And the Air Canada flight 942 from Toronto was also hit. It was due in at 12.20 p.m. but arrived around an hour-and-a-half late. The return leg took off two hours late at 3.10 p.m.
Meanwhile, all USAir and British Airways flights were scheduled to arrive on time.
A Marine and Ports spokesman said the Somerset ferry was cancelled but that there was no disruption to the Paget/Warwick service.
The ferry was expected to restart at 1 p.m. and continue regular service the spokesman said.
