Gerova Financial Group, Ltd. a specialty reinsurance holding company set to relocate its holding company to Bermuda, yesterday began trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

Trading under the symbol GFC, Gerova ended the day of $5.87, as 45,800 shares changed hands.

After it received authorisation to list its ordinary shares, warrants, and units on the NYSE, Gerova CEO Joseph Bianco said: "Listing on the New York Stock Exchange is a significant milestone for Gerova and reflects the continued successful development of our innovative business model.

"We believe the NYSE listing will significantly increase Gerova's visibility in the global financial markets.
