Bermuda Realty Company Ltd., subsidiary of Bermuda Home Ltd., said yesterday its recently introduced telephone marketing service had proved extremely popular.

The new system has had several hundred inquiries since its launch two months ago.

Prospective home buyers can use the hotline for information about specific houses or to obtain a complete listing of all the homes in the system.

Currently the 24-hour service includes 33 listings and has capacity for 67 more.

The system, which includes information about Bermuda Realty's new, sole listings, has received 70 to 100 inquires per week since inception, Bermuda Realty co-ordinator marketing and corporate communications Susan Thompson said.

As well as a voice-over of properties, callers can request a detailed fax about properties on the system. Callers can also leave messages.

"This technology has been in use in the US for about ten years. It is perfect for the busy lives that Bermudians now lead,'' she said.

Callers not knowing the code of the house they wish to inquire about can request a listing of all 33 homes to be faxed to them.

Houses listed on the new hotline range from $265,000 to $875,000.

It is anticipated that rentals will soon be added to the system.
