The London-based Institute of Risk Management is set to launch a new regional group in Bermuda.The first meeting of the new group will be a breakfast session today entitled “Bringing a risk framework to life”.IRM chairman Alex Hindson, who is currently visiting the island to meet local risk professionals will lead this initial event, which is to be hosted by PriceWaterhouse Coopers.Mr Hindson said: “Although many of our members today will come from Bermuda’s insurance community, IRM welcomes students and members from many different sectors as effective management of risk is becoming increasingly important for organisations of all types.“IRM is an international organisation which believes passionately in the value of professional education and training in risk management and in the business benefits that can be gained from effective networking.”
