The Fairmont Southampton has announced the promotion and appointment of two Bermudians within the systems management department.Tony Steele has been promoted to the role of area systems manager and Jonathan Stowe has been appointed to the post of systems manager.Fairmont Southampton’s regional director of human resources Nelda Simons said: “I am pleased today to announce that the Fairmont Southampton has once again recognised the experience, skills and commitment of two outstanding Bermudians.Prior to working with Fairmont, Mr Steele served 17 years as the systems manager at the Sonesta Beach Hotel. As area systems manager, he will provide server infrastructure management, system back-up and recovery procedures, regular back-up and integrity checks, network infrastructure management, as well as desk side support services.Mr Stowe possesses almost a decade’s worth of experience as a network analyst and holds an Associates Degree in Network Engineering from Virginia College of Huntsville, Alabama. As systems manager, he will report to Mr Steele and will be responsible for providing support for the information technology systems for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Bermuda.
