Dr Trott returns after 28 years
Bermudian physician Dr Alton Trott has returned to the Island after nearly 30 years to open a new private practice.
Dr Trott will specialise in obstetrics and gynecology at his office on Point Finger Road, Paget.
He recently gained laparoscopic certification in Atlanta for minimally invasive surgical procedures as well as urogynecologic procedures for female incontinence.
Other services include: normal and high-risk pregnancy management, gynecology, fibroids, endometriosis, menopause and preventative women’s health care.
A graduate of The Berkeley Institute, Dr Trott received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in Philadelphia, one of the largest civilian producers of military physicians in the US.
Dr Trott completed his OB/GYN residency training at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, New York.
While there, he was the chief surgical and administrative resident during the third and fourth years of his four-year programme.
“I felt it was time to come back to Bermuda,” Dr Trott said. “I felt it was a good opportunity, the timing was excellent, and I had been contacted by the hospital (KEMH) which was looking for Bermudian doctors to return to Bermuda.”
