Rosewood Tucker’s Point staff return from experience overseas

Rosewood Hotels & Resorts today announces that it has launched the Cross Exposure Training Programme at Rosewood Tucker’s Point in Bermuda.

The programme provides select employees with training opportunities to experience and learn from other properties within the Rosewood collection.

Bermudians Laura Bolton, Andre Cannonier and Antonio Moniz are the first employees at Rosewood Tucker’s Point to participate in the company’s Cross Exposure Training Programme.

Ms Bolton spent three weeks at The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel, the iconic hotel on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, shadowing the guest relations manager so she could assume the role at Rosewood Tucker’s Point.

Golf course superintendents Mr Cannonier and Mr Moniz were given the opportunity to work alongside their counterparts at CordeValle, a Rosewood Resort, a secluded luxury golf resort in the foothills of the Santa Cruz mountains in northern California, to prepare and maintain the golf course for the Frys.com Open, a PGA Tour event held in October.

Mr Cannonier said: “Not only is the learning process so much more effective when it’s hands-on but also I was able to bring back the knowledge I gained and share it with the rest of the team as well as apply it to the work we do here.”

Brian Young, managing director of Rosewood Tucker’s Point, said: “At Rosewood, we are passionate about and committed to providing professional development opportunities for our employees.

“Through exposure to our properties around the world, we are fortunate to be able to provide unique, hands-on employee training that will strengthen our abilities to serve our guests here in Bermuda.”

The company has budgeted for more than twice the number of employees to participate in the global programme next year.
