The Fairmont Southampton announced three Bermudian appointments to posts in human resources, sales and the spa.Kimberley Webb will be the hotel’s new corporate and sales manager, CC Gail Callender is the new director of recruitment and Jacqueline Washington, a spouse of a Bermudian, will be the new Willow Stream Spa manager.“The Fairmont Southampton is committed to recruiting, hiring and promoting Bermudians at all levels within the resort,” said Fairmont Southampton’s regional director of human resources Nelda Simons.“These appointments speak to our commitment and to the wide array of opportunities available within the hospitality industry. We look forward to the contribution that each will make in creating an environment at the hotel that is warm, inviting and focused on making every visit to the Fairmont Southampton memorable.”An established sales veteran in the real estate industry, Kimberley Webb brings her experience to the Fairmont Southampton’s sales team as sales manager responsible for corporate and group sales and assist corporate clients in making their stay in Bermuda productive and enjoyable.Ms Callender has more than 15 years’ experience in the human resources field with an emphasis on recruitment. Ms Callender is a graduate of Ontario Business College and obtained Human Resources Certificates from Queen’s University and Cornell University. In the role of director of recruitment, Ms Callender will be responsible for managing and conducting the Fairmont Southampton’s recruitment process including advertising vacancies and assessing and screening applicants.Jacqueline Washington joins The Fairmont Southampton’s Willow Stream Spa as the new spa manager. With more than 30 years of experience in beauty therapy management, Mrs Washington is a Reiki Master and holds a Bachelor of Science in Metaphysical Science from the University of Metaphysical Science in California.
