Deutsch in key role at Hamilton Insurance Group

Hamilton Insurance Group, the Bermuda-based holding company for property casualty reinsurer Hamilton Re, has announced that insurance and financial services veteran Bob Deutsch will join the company in the newly created position of Chief Strategy Officer., pending requisite approvals from immigration authorities in Bermuda.

Working with Hamilton's executive management and reporting to group CEO Brian Duperreault, Mr. Deutsch will identify opportunities for the ongoing development of the group's operations outside of Bermuda, including both organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

“I'm not sure I can think of a better person to hold the position of Chief Strategy Officer at Hamilton Insurance Group than Bob Deutsch,” said Mr Duperreault. “Bob has done it all — as a chief actuary, a CFO, and a CEO, in start-ups and large corporations, both private and public — and he's done it successfully. His capability, knowledge and experience will be of critical importance as we evolve from the small organisation we are now to a global company.”
