Digicel launches new ‘data doctor’ service

Telecoms firm Digicel has launched a new data doctor service to help iron out glitches in smartphones.

And customer care director and data specialist Jakai Franks will be appearing on TV and radio to help people get the most out of their mobiles.

Mr Franks said: “It’s amazing how many questions we get from customers who often times don’t understand the difference between a megabyte and gigabyte and how that translates to usage with their iPhones, Android and BlackBerry smartphones.

“I’m really excited to play such a vital role in bringing ‘data doctor’ to reality as it’s a fantastic opportunity to be able to interact and engage with our customers via this medium alongside our existing customer care service.”

Mr Franks will be appearing on Hott 1075 answering questions live on air and also feature in the Data Doctor Show on Channel 82, as well as writing regular columns for Bernews.

Digicel customers can also call into the Church Street store for smartphone seminars and get a an e-mail newsletter addressing common data problems, tips and tricks for their devices.
