United Airlines celebrates 25 years in Bermuda

During yesterday’s 25th Anniversary celebration of United Airlines serving the Bermuda market, airline executives presented a scale model of a B-737-800 to the Minister of Tourism and Transport Shawn Crockwell. United Airlines celebrated 25 years of service to Bermuda with the presentation of a scale model of a B-737-800 to the Minister of Tourism and Transport Shawn Crockwell.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this silver anniversary of service to Bermuda,” said Millie Uriarte, United’s Director Latin Onshore and Caribbean Sales, according to a press release from the airline. “We are grateful to our customers and the travel industry in Bermuda who have made United their preferred airline over the past quarter-century.”

The Minister of Tourism Development and Transport congratulated United Airlines on their 25 years of service to Bermuda, according to the press release. According to the press release, he said: “Over the years Bermuda and United Airlines have developed a very strong and mutually beneficial relationship and we look forward to continuously working with United to strengthen our relationship as Bermuda revitalises its tourism industry.”

The airline operates daily flights between Hamilton International Airport and its New York hub, Newark Liberty International Airport, with onward connections to cities throughout the Americas. The flights are operated using Boeing 737-800 aircraft with 154 seats — 16 in United first, 48 in economy plus and 90 in economy.
