Cruise season draws near to close

Lone visit: The Emerald Princess cruise ship

The start of November signals the final throws of the 2014 cruise season.

There’s just the one arrival this week, and only a further seven cruise calls for the year.

Today the Emerald Princess arrives in Dockyard from the Azores.

The liner and her 3,200 passengers will be in the West End until 4pm this afternoon, when the ship will head out to Fort Lauderdale.

This is the Emerald Princess’s first and only trip to Bermuda this year.

Dockyard will play host to a further four cruise arrivals in the coming weeks, while Hamilton also welcomes three liners in November and December at the back end of the season.

Tomorrow the Bermuda Islander is back in Hamilton with a hundred containers worth of stocks and supplies.

And finally the Oleander has begin her winter schedule, which means she will be arriving on Monday afternoon instead of Sunday.
