Health – our top asset

Health. Our most important asset is our health. If we look around us we wonder if people really practise that thought as the incidence of non-communicable diseases has grown by incredible rates over the past 30 years. If we truly believe that we need to live a healthy life then what do we do to encourage people to change and to modify their behaviours.

Literally trillions are spent on healthcare around the world and so many of these costs would be eliminated if only people would make changes and lead a healthy lifestyle. In the next week, take a look at your own habits and identify one thing that you could change to make yourself more healthy. Then encourage your friends and family to make some changes as well. Together we can make our world and our country a healthier and happier place.

“The human body has been designed to resist an infinite number of changes and attacks brought about by its environment. The secret of good health lies in successful adjustment to changing stresses on the body.” — Harry J Johnson
