Two new top members of international business association Abir have been appointed.

RenaissanceRe Holdings president and CEO Kevin O’Donnell was today voted in as first deputy chairman of Abir, which represents 20 Bermuda-based insurers and reinsurers.

And Brian Duperreault, the CEO of Hamilton Insurance Group, was elected second deputy chairman.

Both will serve a one-year term starting in January.

Stephen Catlin, the executive deputy chairman of XL Catlin, will stay on as Abir chairman for another year-long term.
