Princess in esteemed company

The revamped Hamilton Princess has made a prestigious list of top international resorts.

The hotel appears alongside the famous George V Hotel in Paris and the Kulm Hotel in St Moritz, Switzerland in a nine-strong list compiled by Celebrated Living magazine, the American Airlines in-flight magazine for first class and Admiral Club members.

Allan Federer, general manager of the Hamilton Princess, said: “Celebrated Living magazine is read by international travellers around the world and this is incredible exposure for the hotel.

“Being recognised as one of the best international resorts comes at an exciting time at Hamilton Princess and Beach Club as we prepare to complete the final phase of renovations and unveil our new luxury property to the public and our guests.”

The selection for the quarterly magazine, which reaches nearly 5 million readers, was made by a panel of international experts, whose picks are then placed online for readers to vote on the shortlist in each category.

The Hamilton Princess entry in the list highlights the renovations, Hamilton harbour and the hotel's status as official hotel for the upcoming America's Cup.

The other hotels listed included the Singita Faru Faru Lodge in Tanzania, the Ritz-Carlton Phulay Bay in Thailand and the Finca Cortesin in Spain.

The Belmond La Samanna, St Martin, the One & Only Ocean Club in the Bahamas and Amanyara, Turks & Caicos rounded off the list.
