Digicel Bermuda hits gold security standard

Digicel Bermuda has become a gold partner with technology security company Fortinet Solutions.

Fortinet counts the majority of Fortune 500 companies among its customers, and provides a range of high-performance cybersecurity solutions for networks and data centres, cloud services along with other content security services.

In a statement, Digicel Bermuda said the collaboration with Fortinet means Bermudian customers have access to firewalls, secure gateways, wifi networks and other cybersecurity solutions to safeguard their business and customers' information.

“Our gold partner status with Fortinet follows on from being the only Cisco Gold certified partner in Bermuda,” said Niall Clyne, head of business solutions at Digicel Bermuda.

“As a company we continue to provide innovative solutions to our clients by not just partnering, but achieving the highest standards with leading international companies in the areas of ICT, cloud services, security and service support.”

Digicel Bermuda said it reached gold partner status in the Fortinet FortiPartner Programme due to its success with the company's solutions and commitment to adopting the latest technologies in the marketplace.

Fortinet is based in California. Pedro Paixao, the company's general manager and vice-president of international sales, said: “We strive to provide the quickest and most efficient cybersecurity solutions to Digicel Bermuda, so the company can proactively communicate and protect its customers.

“As a gold partner, Digicel Bermuda has access to the best security support and employee training. Fortinet ensures that its gold partners have the most innovative resources and tools to prevent the latest security threats and malware.
