A new water park has opened at the site of the old Nine Beaches resort.

X20 Adventures opened last weekend at Daniels Head beach and features the island’s first floating obstacle course.

A spokeswoman for X20 said: “The convenient location allows a maximum of 100 guests to enjoy the expansive water park including slide, towers and pools.

“X20 Adventures water park was carefully designed and themed to embrace the culture of the Nine Beaches culture that is both relaxed and scenic.”

She added the “Belly Buster” obstacle course offers a unique island adventure along with traditional family fun.

The Sandys-based centre features shaded seating areas and a variety of food and drinks outlets, including snacks and traditional local favourites.

The spokeswoman said: “Vacationers, families and water park enthusiasts will be immersed in the Bermudian culture and have access to other local vendors.

The water park has already hosted its first guests, including two children’s birthday parties.

One customer said: “Thank you for a great birthday party for our son, the kids all loved it.”

The X20 spokeswoman added: “We are thrilled to be welcoming our first guests and honoured to be a part of their Bermuda experience.”

Daily admission and 2017 season passes can be bought online at www.x2oadventures.com or at the guest service office.
