The Butterfield online banking app no longer works on Apple iPhones using the new iOS 11 operating system — but the bank is working on an updated version.

A Butterfield spokesman said the bank informed customers in September through social media channels and its online banking messaging system that the existing app would not work with the iOS11 upgrade since downloaded by many iPhone users.

A Butterfield spokesman said: “It is my understanding that a new version of the app will be available on the App Store shortly.”

In the meantime, iOS 11 users are advised to access their accounts using the full Butterfield Online website via mobile browsers at www.butterfieldonline.bm.
