Astwood Dickinson will host a weeklong Surf Simulation Challenge to launch its new TAG Heuer shop-in-shop.

The Surf Simulation Challenge is a virtual reality game specially designed by TAG Heuer, the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer.

“People will receive the opportunity to play the game and win prizes,” said Kelsea Williams, creative marketing manager for A.S. Cooper & Sons, Ltd.

“You will stand on an actual surf board that is connected to a laptop which appears on a big-screen TV and you will control the surf board and watch yourself surf.”

The aim is for customers to come try the interactive game, and see if they can win a prize, and also check out the range of TAG Heuer watches at the new shop-in-shop.

“We will give special shout-outs to people who receive high scores and gifts,” said Ms Williams.

There will also be cookies provided by Warwick-based Tuck Shop.

“I really encourage people to come out, learn about the different brands of watches and have fun. Anyone who purchases a watch will receive a free gift as well.”

The event will be held at the Astwood Dickinson store on Front Street, opposite the ferry terminal, from Monday until August 25 during regular store hours of 9am to 6pm.
