Demystifying digital assets

Approximately 50 corporate professionals attended the 100 Women in Finance “Let's Talk Digital Assets” event.

The event, which was sponsored by EY Bermuda, brought together experts to discuss important topics such as the practical applications of virtual currencies and digital tokens.

“This year's event was a huge success,” Alison Morrison, chairwoman of 100WF and senior manager at EY Bermuda. “I'm thankful to all of our panellists for their insightful presentations.

“Virtual currencies and digital tokens are exciting new technologies as evidenced by the audience's engagement.”

The conversation centred on demystifying digital currencies and understanding the current landscape for digital assets.

Panellists included Lynesha Lightbourne, senior business development co-ordinator, Bermuda Business Development Agency; Ariane West, director of structured finance, Nephila Capital; and Katya Gorbunova, advisory senior manager, EY Bermuda, who served as moderator.

The 100 Women in Finance is a global affinity group for women in finance and the alternative investment industry. The group focuses on helping women advance their careers through education, philanthropy and peer engagement.
