A corporate team from law firm Carey Olsen Bermuda advised Apex Group Ltd on its purchase of Beacon Fund Services (Bermuda) and two associated Beacon companies.

As reported by The Royal Gazette yesterday, Apex is acquiring the Bermuda-based fund administrator, in a transaction expected to close in the second quarter of this year.

Carey Olsen Bermuda partner Mary Ward, and counsel Adam Bathgate, advised Apex on all Bermuda aspects of the acquisition and provided corporate and legal advice.

Ms Ward said: “Carey Olsen Bermuda is delighted to have assisted Apex on this transaction, which further expands our client's existing presence in Bermuda. It also underlines the strength of our corporate offering at Carey Olsen Bermuda, particularly in the area of M&A.”
