Original Sherry Peppers Sauce in a new line of soups ranging from fish chowder and vichyssoise to tomato bisque with wild fennel.

Outerbridge's Peppers Ltd. has established an international company to manufacture and distribute a full line of its products for the worldwide market.

In addition to the existing Sherry Peppers products, company founder Mr.

Yeaton Outerbridge has also introduced the new line of soups.

He said the new soup line will spearhead the marketing effort in key strategic areas in the US. The soups packaging will serve the double purpose of selling the product and selling Bermuda to the traveling public.

Outerbridge's Sherry Peppers Sauce have long been popular among Bermudians and visitors for spicing up stews, sauces, zesty soups and chowders, including Bermuda fish chowder.

"It just seemed natural that we should make a line of soups with the zing of my sherry peppers already in the recipe,'' said Mr. Outerbridge.

He added that the soups -- Fish Chowder, Bermuda Onion, Vichyssoise, Tomato Bisque, and Corn and Crab chowder -- are all handsomely packaged with enticing scenes of Bermuda on the labels, which are called Outerbridge's Originals.

The soups are made to look and taste like homemade, with the best ingredients available and the zing of Outerbridge's Sherry Peppers.

"These are home grown soups that will be enjoyed here in Bermuda, and will catch the eye of potential Bermuda lovers in the US,'' Mr. Outerbridge added.

A "full court press'' has begun in the US sending gift baskets of the new products to food journalists and celebrities at such publications as Gourmet, Food and Wine, Martha Stewart Living, Saveur, he said.
