White Heron jam makes a comeback

times than a White Heron jam?

times than a White Heron jam? Of course the famous Warwick pub is no longer but many of those who used to grace the place with their musical abilities every Sunday afternoon/evening are getting together this Sunday for a reunion jam/fundraiser at The Porch on Front Street.

Several of Bermuda's best-known rock, blues and folk talents are expected to show up for the super jam, which starts at 4 p.m.

Organiser Paul Maccoy said proceeds from the door ($10 to get in) and from raffles and draws throughout the evening will go to help pay expenses for a former White Heron regular who's been stricken with cancer.

"The White Heron was more than just a bar,'' Mr. Maccoy mused. "It was in the truest sense of the word a pub.'' He promised "an evening of music not to be missed''.
