And the rules for play are...

and be responsible for the enforcement of all rules, issuance of penalty strokes, and scoring. USGA rules of golf will govern, except for the local rules of play and the following: Tees: Men play from the white tees, women play from the red tees Scramble Format: On every hole, each member of the team will hit a tee shot.

The celebrity captain then selects which ball the team will play. All team members shall hit from within one club length of the selected shot, no nearer to the hole, and from a similar course lie (i.e. a ball in a hazard, bunker, the rough, fairway, fringe of green, etc., must be played from the hazard, bunker, etc.,).

This procedure is repeated until the ball is on the green, and then each player must place the ball no more than one putterhead from the mark, no nearer to the hole. Once the ball is holed out, no further strokes count.

One Ball Rule: The one ball is not in effect, players may change the make or type of ball between shots, between holes or at any time.

Two Tee Shots: Each team member's tee shot must be used at least twice per round.

Falling Behind: Any team which falls behind the previous by more than one hole will be given a warning, and allowed one hole to catch up. If, after one hole has been completed, a tournament official determines that team's speed has not increased sufficiently, the team must skip the next hole (or holes) until they have reached the group in front of them, receiving a bogie score for each hole missed.

Practice Shots: No practice shots or putts will be allowed during the tournament. A one-stroke penalty will be added to the team's total score per occurrence.

Par Three Holes: In an effort to speed play, a tournament official will be positioned on certain par three greens to automatically select and mark the ball which lands closest to the pin. All other balls will be picked up. The team will then wait before putting to allow the following group to hit up to the green, and so on.

Team Handicap: The team handicap is determined by adding the team member's individual USGA handicaps (or average score) dividing the total by five and then taking 20 percent of that number. Maximum individual handicap for purposes of calculation is 24.

Scoring: The tournament official will record the team's official score. Net score is calculated by subtracting the team handicap from the gross score. The net score is calculated after each round is completed.

Substitutions: In the event a team must use a substitute player for a team member, the handicap of the player with the lowest handicap will be used in determining the team handicap for purposes of scoring.

Mulligans: No mulligans will be allowed.

Line of Play: Team members may stand behind a player (on an extension of the line of play) while said player is hitting a shot or putt.

Tie Breaker: Ties for the championship will be decided by a shoot-out to the 16th Green immediately following the completion of round three.

The Celebrity Factor: Obviously, our celebrities will be stopped by the gallery for interviews, in order to keep play moving and on schedule, the remaining team members should not sit and watch. the team should hit their shots and play on. The celebrity will catch up.

Please note: Thirty-two groups will play in the shotgun scramble, causing backups on par three holes. We ask your co-operation in speeding up play whenever possible, and that you limit yourself to one practice swing both in the fairway and on the green.
