Musicians Kevin Dolan, Rod MacKenzie -- longtime fixtures of the Folk Club and local bar scene -- with Davey Armstrong and newcomer John Devenaux comprise the group.

"The material ranges from contemporary to to traditional folk, and not a few of the songs have been written by members of the band themselves,'' said a club spokesman.

"There seems to be throughout, however, a Celtic influence which flavours their performances, and lends the band its uniquely evocative atmosphere,'' he added.

Their concert was a sell-out last year and anyone interested in tickets is advised to get them in advance at Opus 1 or the Bookmart in the Phoenix. The doors at the Old Colony Club open at 7.45 p.m. Tickets are $15, or $12 for members.
