Yesterday, organiser of the Bosnia Appeal Mrs. Lucy Willitts said there would also be a need for more volunteers today to sort through clothing and help pack the container, which is set up at Lindo's supermarket in Devonshire.

"We have been inundated with clothing and we would like people to give things like a box of rice or a bag of flour,'' Mrs. Willitts said.

However, she added that the people who have already arranged to bring clothing can still bring it.

She said: "This is the eighth container in three years. We would like to ship it immediately after it is filled. With the bitter cold in Bosnia, the people need it now.'' Mrs. Willitts also said this would be the last container sent to Bosnia for the year.
