And last night a local real estate agent -- who asked not to be identified -- said: "The news that they have bought a house in Tucker's Town is a little premature.

"I have it on very good authority that they have not made any purchase as of yet.'' But the source did confirm that the couple had been looking around and there was a possibility that they might buy.

"They are vacationing on the Island for a little while and I think he might buy something,'' added the agent.

HOLIDAY GARBAGE COLLECTION TSH Holiday garbage collection Households which normally have their garbage collected on Wednesday will have to wait until the weekend.

Works and Engineering yesterday announced that there will be no garbage or recyclables collected on Christmas Day.

But they will be collected as usual on Boxing Day. And garbage and recyclables normally collected on Wednesday, will be picked up on Saturday.

Works and Engineering also reminded the public that garbage should be placed out for collection by 7.30 a.m.

The Tynes Bay public drop-off will be open as usual on Christmas Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
