"success'' and organisers plan to stage a reprise of the event next year.

"It's been an outstanding success,'' general manager Aideen Rattery-Pryse said.

Ms Ratteray made the statement after prizes for the week-long festival were awarded at a gala reception held at Ariel Sands on Thursday night.

As reported in yesterday's paper, `Family Name' was named the best of show.

American actress and head of the National Endowment for the Arts, Jane Alexander said the documentary, directed by Macky Alston, had taken hold of the jury's hearts.

"Anna in the Sky'' was voted the best short film of the festival, while the people's choice was "Boston Kickout,'' by British director Paul Hills.
